Yi Cao
Yi Cao Yi is a Munich based jewellery artist and currently studies in Munich Academy. In 2015, she came to the UK to participate in a MFA jewellery program in Edinburgh College of Art after she achieved her undergraduate degree from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing.
The works from Yi are various, from jewellery to object, from traditional technique to new material, from Asian culture to Western history. In the recent 3 years, her work focused on the theme of death. She uses modern technologies to involve more rational reflections into her work, in order to bring this topic closer to all people.
